Third Sector consults primarily in the field of K-12 education innovation and reform. However, our clients also work in the areas of Business Sector Engagement, Workforce Readiness, Youth Development, New Media, and the Humanities.
Partners
Third Sector is a sole-proprietor limited liability corporation headed by Christopher Shearer. For select projects—with client approval—Chris will bring in national experts as partners on a contract. Partners are not full-time employees of Third Sector and often operate their own consultancies.
Activities
Chris structures his consulting to act as an informed and experienced thought partner to clients—offering perspective, content and sector expertise, networking, and structured reflection on the alignment and impact of strategy and activities.
Areas of activity include strategic planning; field positioning; research and analysis; policy analysis, design, and advocacy; initiative design and pilot execution; collaboration design and management; meeting design and facilitation; leadership transition; resource development strategy and funder relations; communications and outreach; editing; evaluation and impact; and improving emphasis on equity.
